Blind Boys in Kolkata, India
Blindness is seeing things in a different way than those who have their eye sight but often overlook so many things in life.
Ever since Asit Poddar arrived in Chios 2007 with a mural done by the Blind Boys at the Academy in Kolkata, India, it stirred the emotions and meant a new vocabulary entered the discourse within Kids' Guernica.
The concept of peace for the Blind Boys was linked to their question as to why religion was involved whenever there is war?
Blind people entail a different vulnerability for they cannot see who is in front, behind them or going beside them but they can sense a great deal more.
They also need to trust that human beings do not mean something harmful for they are indeed vulnerable.
