Stick Holders”

This piece speaks to how we categorize objects and references Michel Foucault's book “The Order of Things”. He explains in the introduction how his philosophical enquiry (which lead to the book) was born from reading how an ancient Chinese encyclopedia grouped animals together according to : a) belonging to the Emperor, b, embalmed, c, tamed, d) sirens, f) fabulous, g) stray dogs, e) included in the present classification.
