'Fragile Matter' - dance performance in Hong Kong 2015
Coat of the dictator
Facing the one

Creating the statue
What rises must fall
Many have to fall before the one will fall
"I was really inspired by 'The Great Dictator' by Charlie Chaplin and a verse from the Gospel Corinthians 21-26, that speaks about the body and the members that symbolically form it, and how from history till now people would make images of their own statues that would rise and in time would fall as they have with many dictators that ruled societies . I was watching the horrible news of how ISIS was knocking down all these ancient sculptures and art.. In this piece I used this element but from another prospective, of the people that either vote or choose naively there leaders and when the time comes after pressure and fear, how they revolt and have the power to tear them down.. how we shouldn't forget that we have the power to change the suppression once we unite."
