Thomas Economacos
When making his presentation during the session of the ECCM Symposium 'Productivity of Culture' in the session about Kids' Guernica Experiences, he referred to the experiences he made with children at the "108 Primary School of Athens - from the concrete to the abstract and back to the concrete"

Born in Athens.
Education:
- drawing lessons at the Architecture Association of London
- a sculpture course at Richmond College
- studies at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (tech workshop for theatre design)
- 1996 graduated from Wimbledon School of Art (BA Honors) in theatre design
- attended thanks to the ERASMUS program a course on lighting and sound design at the Finnish Theatre Academy (Tampere).
Work experience
- designed sets, costumes and lighting for theatre and dance schools in Athens and elsewhere in Great Britain, Finland, Cyprus and throughout Greece
- teaches theatre design and lighting at the stage school for Dance and Drama in Athens.
He is an ex-member of British theatre designers (1998 - 2001) and a member of the the Greek Chamber of Plastic Art.

Since 2005 he is the arts coordinator for Poiein kai Prattein and in this capacity has been a facilitator for numerous painting actions and exhibitions together with Hatto Fischer:
- Kids' Guernica action in Athens with peace mural of Poiein kai Prattein called "the war is over" (August 2005)
- Delegation together with Maya Fischer to the 10th anniversary of Kids' Guernica in Ubud (Bali) (August 2005)
- Kids' Guernica exhibition and workshops in Kastelli (Crete), 2006
- Exhibition and workshops Chios (Greece) (2007)
- Joint trip with youngsters from Chios to Izmir (Turkey) for creation of the Chios-Izmir mural
- Kids' Guernica exhibition at Zappeion in Athens (Oct. 2007)
- Advisory task for Bernard Conlon with regards to the Belfast peace mural (2008)
- Attended the Kids' Guernica 15th anniversary with exhibition and symposium on art education and social justice held in Tallahassee, Florida, USA in January 2010.
