Ποιειν Και Πραττειν - create and do

Tsipras, Syriza and the Radical Left

Tsipras fighting shadows of the past and future

Tsipras resigned as Prime Minister on Thursday, 20th of August 2015, to terminate being in office since January 25th 2015. As he puts it, it is his moral duty to ask the people of Greece, if they agree to the Third Memorandum of Understanding.

One comment about his decision says it all on how perceptive the Greek voter can be. The comment perceives his decision as the only thing to do after him having gone through the door of 'reality'.

25 MPs of the Syriza Party split off and have created their own party, making them be the third strongest party, that is after Neo Demokratia and before Chrysi Avgi. That is important as now the second and third strongest parties shall be asked by the President of the Hellenic Republic to form a government. They have three days to do so. If none of them succeed, it means automaticall that the country goes to general election. It would have been more than a mere embarrassment if Chrysi Avgi would have been asked whether or not they would be capable of forming a government. Just to conceive this as a possibility would have send shudders through a frail moral body already shaken by their strong showing. Now the Extreme Left has come to the rescue of Greece and saves face, so to speak, but for all the wrong reasons.
