One of the most successful projects in Berlin. By renting out space, projects can be financed through this income. Over the past few years this link of cultural management, variety of projects and capitalising on a trend to link hostel, restaurants, conference and media spaces with new kinds of galleries, is something that has revamped the entire premise. It was once a brewery and became during DDR - East Germany times the premise for the major newspaper. When the wall came down in 1989, the abandoned premise was immediately occupied and seized upon as a new opportunity.
